WORLD NEWS TOMORROWWashington DC.  In June 2012 the Operational Directorate of the Counter Intelligence Agency Asian Desk,  Ricardo Baretzky also a leading Global security threat analysts told media with prediction that there would be a global shift on the war on terror moving towards Africa. Whilst many dismissed this claims it now seems to be a deepening truth as information surfaces worldwide from intelligence and media sources.

Baretzky  predicted accurately that the security threats once done in middle east, would become a concern in Africa and that the African Union should mot undermine the risk they faces as this could have serious effects and implications for African development.

US deploying troops to 35 African countries

The United States Army will be deploying troops to nearly three-dozen African nations in the coming year. Soldiers based out of Fort Riley, Kansas’ 2nd Brigade, 1st Infantry Division will begin training in March 2013 in order to prepare for a project that will send troops to as many as 35 African nations, the Associated Press reports.

Intel sources indicates AFRICOM might be stationing as much as 6000 troops in South Africa via its UN program. Citing a growing threat from extremist groups, including those with ties to al-Qaeda, the Department of Defense is hoping to install American soldiers all over Africa in order to prepare local troops there for any future crises as tensions escalate.

With the latest news from the Pentagon, it was indicated that Mali will be just one of many African nations hosting US troops in the coming year. According to the Associated Press update of yesterday  soldiers will be sent to African regions in the new year to assist only with training and equipping efforts, and are not necessarily permitted to participate in military operations however intelligence sources indicates otherwise.

The Pentagon indicated that should the Pentagon ask the troops to engage in battle, however, the secretary of defense could sign off on an order that would allow as much. ”If they want them for (military) operations, the brigade is our first sourcing solution because they’re prepared,” Gen. David Rodriguez, the head of U.S. Army Forces Command said. He also said that it  has to go back to the secretary of defense to get an execute order. Thus the right hand of Africom more than likely will run the show.

Further information from the Pentagon indicates that  US troops will head specifically to Libya, Sudan, Algeria and Niger and possibly South Africa in order to prepare for any advances from al-Qaeda linked groups. US intelligence sources indicates that Its believed that South Africa hosts the largest al-Qaeda hide outs as South Africa is one of the very few countries that do not have a exchange program for criminals and have a reputation for opening doors to Criminals with money.

The United States would be leaving a substantial footprint across the continent by the deployment  to more than half of the countries in Africa. ”The challenge we have is to always understand the system in their country,”  explains Rodriguez. Intel sources say that the United States has already prepared nearly 100 different exercises and training programs to conduct with African troops during the coming year.
